Annapurna Bhandar Yojana pays ₹3,000 per month via Direct Benefit Transfer to eligible women (25–60 years, permanent West Bengal residents). Beyond applying, three pieces of paperwork matter: the application form, your beneficiary certificate, and your citizen/beneficiary status. This page explains each one — where to get the form, how to fill it without errors, what the certificate proves, and how to track your status. Apply only through official government portals and offices; any site charging a "registration fee" is a fraud.

Quick facts

  • Scheme: Annapurna Bhandar Yojana, Government of West Bengal (2026) — ₹3,000/month via DBT.
  • Form: seven sections; available on the Social Registry citizen portal and at block/municipality/panchayat offices.
  • Certificate: issued after verification — your proof of enrollment as a beneficiary.
  • Status check: official portal with your Application Reference Number + registered mobile number.
  • Key documents: Aadhaar, voter ID, digital ration card, bank passbook, income certificate, photo.

The application form: section by section

The form has seven parts, and each one trips people up in predictable ways. Family Identity — head-of-family details, household ID from the digital ration card, Aadhaar and EPIC details of all members. Ration Card / Food Subsidy — whether the family holds a digital ration card, card type, ration-lifting status. Assets — house, land, vehicles, insurance. Income / Profession — income-tax status, employment nature, total annual family income. Other Identity Documents — CAA application status if any, credit cards like KCC. Social Status and Dependents — school-going children, vaccination status. Declaration and Consent — read it, sign or thumb-impress it.

The golden rules: write names exactly as on Aadhaar, dates in DD/MM/YYYY, bank account numbers double-checked with IFSC. Our form download and filling guide walks through each field with examples of the mistakes that cause rejections.

The beneficiary certificate

Once your application clears verification, you're issued a beneficiary certificate — the document that proves you're enrolled in the scheme. Keep it safe: it's what you'll reference in any future correspondence, grievance, or re-verification. It typically records your name, application/reference number, and enrollment details. If you've applied and been approved but never received the certificate, follow up at the BDO or municipality office where you applied — don't pay any "agent" to fetch it. Details in our certificate and citizen status guide.

Checking your citizen/beneficiary status

Status tracking runs on the official portal: enter your Application Reference Number (the one generated at submission — this is why saving it matters) and verify with your registered mobile number. You'll see pending, approved, or rejected. "Pending" during camp seasons is normal — verification queues get long. "Rejected" needs action: find the reason (wrong details, document issues, eligibility mismatch), correct it at the BDO office, and re-check rather than submitting a duplicate application.

Common problems and fixes

OTP not received: confirm your Aadhaar-linked mobile number is active; update it at a UID center if you've changed numbers. Upload failed: compress files under ~200KB with a phone scanning app. Portal not loading: traffic peaks during camp days — try early morning or late evening. Name/DOB mismatch: everything must match Aadhaar; fix discrepancies at the source before reapplying.

Fraud warning

The state government has explicitly warned about fake Annapurna Bhandar websites and registration links. Legitimate application is free, happens on the official portal or at government offices, and never requires your OTP, bank password, or payment. Treat any call, SMS, or website asking for those as hostile.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I download the Annapurna Bhandar form?

From the citizen portal at socialregistry.wb.gov.in, or collect a physical copy at your block, municipality, or panchayat office.

What is the beneficiary certificate?

Your proof of enrollment after verification — keep it for all future correspondence about the scheme.

How do I check my application status?

On the official portal using your Application Reference Number and registered mobile number.

My application was rejected. What now?

Identify the reason (details, documents, or eligibility), correct it at the BDO office, and re-check — don't file blind duplicates.

Is there any application fee?

No. Application is free. Anyone charging a fee is running a scam.

Documents: the complete checklist

Get the paperwork right and the rest is smooth. The standard set: Aadhaar card (identity + address, and the DBT anchor), voter ID / EPIC (citizenship proof), digital ration card (household identity — this is where the family ID comes from), bank passbook or statement (account number + IFSC for DBT — must be in the applicant's name), income certificate (from the competent authority, within validity), and a recent passport-size photograph. Our documents and how-to-apply guide gives the exact specs for each — photo dimensions, certificate formats, and which office issues what.

Filling the form without errors

The seven-section form rewards patience. Work through it in order: personal details exactly as on Aadhaar (this is where most rejections start — a spelling mismatch between the form and Aadhaar), family and household details from the ration card, income and asset declarations honestly (false declarations are disqualifying and potentially punishable), bank details copied digit-by-digit from the passbook, and the declaration signed or thumb-impressed. Photograph every page before submitting. The form download and filling guide walks each section with examples of the errors that cause rejections.

Certificate and status: proving you're enrolled

After verification comes the beneficiary certificate — your proof of enrollment, with your name, reference number, and scheme details. Keep it with your important documents; it's what you'll produce for any future verification, grievance, or inquiry. Track everything on the portal with your Application Reference Number: pending (normal during camp seasons), approved, or rejected with a reason. Rejections for document issues are fixable at the BDO office — correct the specific problem rather than filing a duplicate. Details in the certificate and citizen-status guide and our status and rejections page.

Form, certificate, status — that's the paperwork spine of Annapurna Bhandar. Get the form right the first time, guard your certificate and reference number, and the ₹3,000 monthly benefit follows the verification, not the other way around.

It's on the official portal — the post has the steps. Print it on A4 and fill it in block letters.

Double-check the bank details section. That's where most forms get rejected.

Do we get a certificate after approval? The post about citizen status mentions one but doesn't show what it looks like.

Yes, you get an approval certificate you can download. Keep a copy — you'll need it for any future verification.
